Purchase/Subscribe to a qualitative data analysis (QDA) platform

Qualitative data analysis (QDA) platform that stores or sends data to the vendor must be purchased through BearBuy by following the UCSF Campus Supply Chain Management (SCM) Buying Software and Cloud Computing process. This process will guide you through the proper contracting and security risk assessment requirements with the vendor. Only qualitative analysis tool that are installed locally on your computer without sending data to the vendor may be purchased and installed without going through BearBuy and security assessment intake.

Services

  1. Nvivo: Usable locally without the “Collaboration Cloud”; however, the cloud-hosted version requires a security risk assessment.
  2. Dedoose: Approved for P1/P2 data but not for P3/P4 data.
  3. Atlas.ti: Approved for P1/P2 data but not for P3/P4 data.
